SCARY MOMMY
Scary Mommy is the #1 media and entertainment brand for parents in the U.S. Founded by Jill Smokler, Scary Mommy has risen from its beginnings as a personal blog to being a multi-channel producer of long form video series, viral social media, and sponsored content with premium advertisers.
In 2015, I worked with the Scary Mommy executive and content teams to tackle three primary goals: make the move from editorial web content to video, get Scary Mommy production-ready to pitch and execute co-branded sponsor content, and explore the future of the Scary Mommy brand.
Over the next year and half, our collaborative efforts would launch a new mobile-first website that maximized the reach of Scary Mommy’s daily viral content. We completed a comprehensive rebranding exploration to prep for a streaming video future. With high production value videos, Scary Mommy rolled out sponsored content for brands such as TinyPrints, 1-800-Flowers, Old El Paso, and Chrysler.
